Yes. Patient lists can be imported from a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) with names, phone numbers, dates of birth, and basic medical history. Our team reviews the file before import and checks the result with you, so duplicate and malformed records are caught before they reach live records.

Training is included with every plan. You get live walkthrough sessions, the DocBase help centre with step-by-step guides for appointments, patients, WhatsApp, and billing, and follow-up sessions when you add new staff or switch on new features.

Yes. DocBase ships clinical templates for 10+ specialties including General Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Paediatrics. Each template captures the fields that specialty actually records, and appointment types and durations are configurable per doctor.

Yes. Patients book, reschedule, and cancel at any hour through the patient portal, which shows real-time doctor availability. They sign in with a single-use magic link rather than a password, and every booking triggers an automatic WhatsApp or email confirmation.

DocBase sends a WhatsApp confirmation on booking, a reminder 24 hours before the appointment, and a final reminder 2 hours before. Patients can reschedule or cancel by replying, and your staff sees the whole conversation in the DocBase WhatsApp inbox. Consent is captured and recorded as the DPDP Act 2023 requires.

Yes. The Multi-Location plan manages every branch from one dashboard with location-specific schedules, centralised patient records, and consolidated revenue reporting. Each clinic's data stays isolated at the row level, so staff only see the locations they are assigned to.

DocBase has four AI modules: AI Patient Brief (pre-consultation summary with an urgency score, differential diagnoses, and investigation gaps), AI Voice Scribe (live transcription that extracts vitals, medications, and diagnoses), AI Health Analysis (drug interaction and guideline checks), and Health Risk Assessment (Framingham, ADA, and KDIGO calculators). All AI output is advisory - the treating doctor makes every clinical decision.

DocBase is ₹1,999/month for a single doctor and ₹5,999/month for up to five doctors, with Multi-Location pricing on request. Every plan includes unlimited appointments, WhatsApp automation, digital prescriptions, and the patient portal. There is no setup fee and no per-patient charge.

Yes - 30 days, with full access to every feature in your plan and no credit card required. You can load your own patients and run live appointments during the trial, so nothing has to be re-entered if you decide to continue.

No. Setup, training, data import, and support are included in the subscription price. The only optional extras are the AI add-ons, which start at ₹999 per doctor per month and are billed only if you switch them on.

Yes. You can move between plans at any time, and all patient records, schedules, and settings carry over unchanged. Adding doctors mid-cycle moves you to the matching plan from the next billing period.

Yes. Annual billing brings the Single Doctor plan to ₹1,599/month and the Multi-Doctor plan to ₹4,999/month. Multi-location clinics and healthcare networks are priced on request - contact the DocBase team for a quote based on branch and doctor count.

Patient data is encrypted with AES-256 in transit and at rest, and every clinic's records are isolated at the row level so no clinic can see another's data. Access follows role-based permissions across admin, staff, doctor, and patient roles, reads and writes to patient records are audit-logged, and personally identifiable information is redacted from application logs.

Yes. DocBase implements operational Digital Personal Data Protection Act controls: consent capture with notice at collection, verifiable guardian consent for patients under 18 (§9), a patient privacy centre for withdrawing consent, nominee designation (§14), access/correction/erasure requests, machine-readable data export (§11), automated retention enforcement, and a breach incident register. DocBase acts as data processor; your clinic remains the data fiduciary.

Yes. DocBase integrates with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission gateway. You can link a patient's ABHA number or ABHA address to their DocBase record and share care contexts, so visits recorded in DocBase become discoverable in the patient's ABHA health record. Both sandbox and production gateway modes are supported.

All patient data is hosted in India, which keeps your clinic inside Indian data-residency expectations under the DPDP Act. Records are backed up regularly, and retention is enforced automatically against the retention period configured for your clinic.

Yes. DocBase uses role-based access control across admin, staff, doctor, and patient roles, so front-desk staff, doctors, and clinic owners each see only what their role requires. Access to patient records is audit-logged with user and timestamp.

Yes, through the ABDM gateway: ABHA number and address linking, plus care-context sharing so DocBase visits appear in a patient's national health record. DocBase does not integrate with US hospital systems such as Epic or Cerner, which are not used by Indian OPD clinics.

DocBase records consultation and procedure charges against each visit, generates patient invoices, and reports revenue by doctor, service, and date range with custom export. Payments are recorded against the visit; DocBase does not process card payments or handle insurance claims itself.

DocBase is a Progressive Web App, so it installs to the home screen on Android, iOS, and desktop without an app store download and updates itself automatically. Doctors can manage the day's schedule from a phone, and patients book and view records the same way.

Partly. As a Progressive Web App, DocBase keeps the day's schedule readable when the connection drops and is built for low-bandwidth Indian networks. Recording new clinical data needs connectivity; records sync once the connection returns.

Standard clinic broadband is enough - about 10 Mbps is comfortable for a multi-doctor clinic. DocBase runs in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on existing phones, tablets, and desktops. No servers, licences, or special hardware are required.

Support runs over WhatsApp, email, and scheduled calls, with replies within one working day and usually much sooner. The DocBase help centre carries step-by-step guides for appointments, patients, WhatsApp automation, billing, and admin settings.

Updates are applied automatically, so your clinic is always on the current version with no manual upgrade and no downtime for staff. Significant changes are announced in advance with guidance on what is new.
